SEE ALSO...

TRAP150 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRAP150 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRAP150 (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRAP150 plays a crucial role in regulating transcription within mammalian cells, functioning as part of the thyroid hormone receptor-associated protein (TRAP) complex. This complex mediates interaction between transcriptional activators and initiation factors, facilitating hormone-induced transcriptional activation. The TRAP complex comprises several proteins, including TRAP95, TRAP100, TRAP150, TRAP220, and TRAP230, characterized by a nuclear receptor recognition motif enabling ligand-dependent binding to nuclear receptors. TRAP150 interacts with other transcriptional coactivating complexes, such as the SMCC (SRB and MED protein cofactor complex), vital for transcriptional regulation of genes in response to hormonal signals. TRAP proteins, particularly TRAP220 and TRAP100, are most abundant in tissues such as skeletal muscle, heart, and placenta, highlighting their importance in developmental and physiological processes.

Hello I am interested in the antibody against Thrap3 sc-133250 X. Since I am planning on using it in immunofluorescence on frozen sections as well as on ChIP, I wondered if you would recommend to purchase sc-133250 X for both applications? Many thanks

Asked by: Roberta M
Thank you for your question. The only difference between the conventional antibody product (sc-133250), and the TransCruz reagent (sc-133250 X), is that the TransCruz reagent is provided 10X more concentrated as 200 ug in 0.1 ml, in a buffer without any gelatin (as a stabilizing protein). If you would like to use the antibody for both immunofluorescence and ChIP then we would recommend purchasing the TransCruz reagent (sc-133250 X) because it could be used in either application. Please adjust your dilution(s) according to the more concentrated antibody. In addition, please note that this antibody has not yet been ChIP validated. The TransCruz primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for ChIP, however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-133250 X be used instead of the standard form sc-133250?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works for human Thrap3, not mouse Thrap3The antibody recognized Thrap3 protein from HeLa and SUDHL10 whole cell lysates, but not lysates from mouse CH12 or mouse embryonic stem cells. Thus, the antibody seems to only recognize human Thrap3 protein and not mouse Thrap3 protein.
