QUICK LINKS

Trandolapril is an inhibitor of ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme), which converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. Preventing this conversion reduces levels of angiotensin II, thus causing vasodilation and an increase in capillary blood volume. This compound shows a high degree of lipophilicity.
