QUICK LINKS

Topramezone is a post-emergent herbicide renowned for its selective nature, specifically designed to target and control weeds across various crops, including corn, soybeans, cotton, and wheat. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS). This particular enzyme plays a role in the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids, which are vital for sustaining plant growth. By impeding the activity of ALS, topramezone effectively hinders the plant′s ability to produce these essential amino acids. Consequently, the plant′s survival is compromised, leading to its demise.
