    SEE ALSO...

Tns4 Antibody (3B8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Tns4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Tns4 antibody (3B8) is available as the non-conjugated format. Tns4, also known as CTEN, is a 715 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular structure maintenance by anchoring actin filaments at focal adhesions through F-actin binding and capping activities. Tns4 is primarily localized to focal adhesions and is expressed in tissues such as the placenta and prostate. Tns4 contains a Src homology 2 (SH2) domain and a phosphatase tensin-type domain, which not only facilitate structural functions but also suggest involvement in signal transduction pathways. Post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, can influence Tns4 activity and interactions. Down-regulation of Tns4 in prostate cancer cells indicates a potential role in tumor suppression, highlighting importance in both normal cellular functions and disease processes. By bridging the cytoskeleton and signaling pathways, Tns4 may be a key player in processes such as cartilage development, cell migration, and apoptosis, making Tns4 a valuable target for research in cancer biology and cellular dynamics.

I am using Tns4 (3B8): sc-517073 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
