TLR4 Antibody (MTS510) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects the TLR4/MD-2 complex of mouse, rat, and human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TLR4 (MTS510) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TLR4 plays a crucial role in the immune system by recognizing lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria, which triggers a signaling cascade that leads to the activation of nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NFkB) and the subsequent production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. This function is vital for initiating an effective immune response and maintaining homeostasis during infections. TLR4 is primarily located on the cell surface of immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, where TLR4 acts as a sentinel for pathogen detection.
