SEE ALSO...

TLR3 Antibody (TLR3.7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TLR3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TLR3 Antibody (TLR3.7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TLR3 plays a crucial role in the immune response by recognizing double-stranded RNA, a molecular pattern associated with viral infections, which triggers the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB) and the production of type I interferons. This function is vital for initiating an effective antiviral response, as TLR3 helps detect and respond to viral pathogens. TLR3 is predominantly expressed in the placenta and pancreas, and TLR3 expression is limited to a specific subset of dendritic cells, highlighting a specialized role in immune surveillance. The TLR family, which includes TLR3, is characterized by a highly conserved Toll homology domain essential for signal transduction, and TLR family members are integral to mediating inflammatory responses. Understanding TLR3 function and signaling pathways is important for developing therapeutic strategies against viral infections and for enhancing vaccine efficacy.

Does ot cross react with mouse TLR2 ?

Asked by: Akriti
Thank you for your question. This antibody has not yet been tested in mouse and so that is not a recommended species at this time. We are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

Can TLR3 (TLR3.7): sc-32232 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, TLR3 (TLR3.7): sc-32232 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work for meUsed at 1:250 dilution in PBST 5% milk to detect in unstimulated A549 and HaCaT cells - didn't show anything but didn't have a positive control so may just be no TLR3 expressed at basal level in these cells
