TIP-1 Antibody (1H5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIP-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TIP-1 antibody (1H5) is available as the non-conjugated format. Tax interaction protein 1 (TIP-1), also known as Tax1-binding protein 3 or glutaminase-interacting protein 3, is a 124 amino acid protein primarily localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus, which is crucial for its role in cellular signaling pathways. TIP-1′s localization enables interaction with various signaling molecules, thereby influencing processes such as cell proliferation and differentiation. TIP-1 contains a PDZ domain that facilitates interactions with other proteins, including Rhotekin and β-catenin, which are essential for Rho-mediated activation of the FOS serum response element and the regulation of the Wnt signaling pathway, respectively. These interactions underscore TIP-1′s importance in modulating key cellular functions and highlight TIP-1′s potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in diseases where these pathways are dysregulated. TIP-1 has been detected in a variety of cell lines, including HeLa, and is weakly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, making TIP-1 a valuable tool for researchers studying its role in different biological contexts.
