Thrombospondin 1 Antibody (A6.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to specifically recognize Thrombospondin 1 (TSP-1). Anti-Thrombospondin 1 antibody (A6.1) is raised against reduced and alkylated human Thrombospondin 1. Thrombospondin 1 is a pivotal extracellular glycoprotein involved in crucial cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix signaling pathways, which are essential for processes such as platelet aggregation, cellular adhesion, migration, and the regulation of tissue development and repair. By mediating interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix, Thrombospondin 1 plays a significant role in inhibiting angiogenesis, regulating wound healing, and contributing to the metastatic progression of cancer cells, highlighting its importance in both physiological and pathological contexts. Thrombospondin 1 monoclonal antibody (A6.1) is recommended for use across a wide range of applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and demonstrates robust species reactivity with Thrombospondin 1 from mouse, rat, human, equine, bovine, porcine, and canine origins. Anti-Thrombospondin 1 antibody (A6.1) does not cross-react with other proteins such as Fibronectin, fibrinogen, or Von Willebrand factor, ensuring reliable and accurate detection of Thrombospondin 1. Anti-Thrombospondin 1 antibody (A6.1) is recommended for researchers investigating the multifaceted roles of Thrombospondin 1 in maintaining cellular homeostasis, responding to tissue injury, and understanding its involvement in various disease mechanisms.
