SEE ALSO...

Thrombin Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Thrombin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Thrombin antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Thrombin, also known as Coagulation Factor 2, plays a critical role in the hemostatic process following tissue injury by converting prothrombin into thrombin, which is essential for the formation of fibrin clots and platelet aggregation. Thrombin′s structure consists of a heavy chain and a light chain linked by a disulfide bond, which is crucial for enzymatic activity. This structural configuration allows Thrombin to effectively cleave fibrinogen into fibrin, thereby facilitating the formation of a stable clot. Thrombin′s ability to interact with various receptors on platelets and endothelial cells underscores its significance in regulating not only coagulation but also cellular responses during wound healing and tissue repair. Thrombin monoclonal antibody (F-1) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of coagulation and the broader implications of Thrombin in pathological conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
