Thiazovivin significantly enhances the efficiency of fibroblast reprogramming to generate induced pluripotent stem cells when used in combination with SB 431542 (sc-204265) and PD 0325901 (sc-205427). It is known to improve the survival of human embryonic stem cells upon trypsinization. It also behaves as an inhibitor of Rho-associated kinase (ROCK). In vitro research experiments have discovered anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-bacterial effects of Thiazovivin. In addition, it may act to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in culture.
