Thiazole Orange is a fluorescent dye DNA stain used for reticulocyte analysis. Thiazole orange can also be potentially useful for Plasmodium species analysis. Thiazole orange when bonded with nucleic acids have fluorescence enhancement and a high yield. Thiazole orange is non precipitating and has the ability to permeate through live cell membranes. Thiazole orange can be used for quantification of reticulocytes.
