TFIIIC110 Antibody (2395C2a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TFIIIC110 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-TFIIIC110 antibody (2395C2a) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this critical protein. TFIIIC110 plays a vital role in the transcription of genes by RNA polymerase III, which is responsible for synthesizing essential RNA molecules such as tRNA and 5S rRNA. This function is particularly important because RNA polymerase III activity regulation is crucial for cellular growth and proliferation, especially in cancerous cells where rapid division is necessary. TFIIIC110 is part of the TFIIIC2 transcription factor complex, which is composed of multiple subunits, including TFIIIC220, TFIIIC102, TFIIIC90, and TFIIIC63. This complex is essential for recruiting RNA polymerase III and the TFIIIB complex to promoter elements, thereby facilitating the transcription of genes that are often overexpressed in transformed cells and tumors. Notably, TFIIIC110 and associated subunits are frequently upregulated in various malignancies, including ovarian carcinomas, highlighting potential as a biomarker for cancer progression and a target for therapeutic intervention. Understanding TFIIIC110 dynamics and interactions within the transcription machinery can provide insights into the mechanisms of tumorigenesis and the development of novel cancer treatments.

I am using TFIIIC110 (2395C2a): sc-81406 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
