QUICK LINKS

Tetraphenylphosphonium Chloride is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacteria growth by binding to cell nuclei. Tetraphenylphosphonium Chloride also binds to DNA and alters its structure, thereby preventing transcription and replication. Shown to be active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Widely used as a phase-transfer catalyst in organic synthesis. It is also used in the preparation of various organic compounds such as carboxylic acids, esters, and amides.
