Territrem B, a tremorgenic mycotoxin originally derived from a rice culture of Aspergillus terreus, has been reported to potently and selectively inhibit AChE (acetylcholinesterase). The irreversible inhibition of AChE by this compound is thought to be enhanced by a high concentration of NaCl and prevented by Triton (sc-29112) X-100.
