TCF-19 Antibody (F-27) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TCF-19 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TCF-19, also known as transcription factor 19 or SC1, is a 345 amino acid protein characterized by one forkhead-associated (FHA) domain, a proline-rich domain, and one PHD-type zinc finger, which are crucial for function as a transcriptional regulator. TCF-19 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where TCF-19 plays a significant role in transcribing genes essential for late stages of cell cycle progression, particularly the transition from G1 to S phase and entry into G2 and mitosis. TCF-19 expression is notably elevated during the G1-S phase of the cell cycle, highlighting TCF-19′s importance in cell proliferation. The gene encoding TCF-19 is located in a critical region on chromosome 6 linked to psoriasis vulgaris, a skin disorder characterized by epidermal cell hyperproliferation. This association suggests TCF-19 may influence psoriasis development through regulatory effects on late cell cycle-specific genes, making TCF-19 a potential target for therapeutic interventions in related conditions.
