QUICK LINKS

TBTC (Tributyltin chloride) is a useful organometallic for proteomics research. TBTC binds to chloride ions, thereby inducing apoptosis within 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. The apoptosis process involves the mitochondrial membrane potential, a pivotal regulator influencing intracellular Ca2+ concentrations. TBTC has demonstrated its capacity to increase copper-induced cellular toxicity by inhibiting ryanodine receptors. Its solubility spans various solvents, including methanol, ethanol, acetone, benzene, chloroform, hexane, and ether.
