Tβ-4 Antibody (4H7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects T beta-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-T beta-4 antibody (4H7) is available as a non-conjugated format. Thymosin β-4 (Tβ-4) is a crucial member of the thymosin β family, which consists of highly conserved polar peptides that play a significant role in cellular dynamics by binding to monomeric actin and inhibiting polymerization. This function regulates G-actin availability, influencing cellular processes such as migration, adhesion, and cytoskeletal organization. Tβ-4 is predominantly found in cell cytoplasm, participating in essential biological functions, including wound healing, angiogenesis, and inflammatory response modulation. Notably, Tβ-4 shows increased expression in numerous human carcinomas, highlighting potential as a biomarker for cancer progression and therapeutic target. Given these multifaceted roles in cellular events and implications in health and disease, Tβ-4 continues to emerge as a protein of significant biological and pharmaceutical relevance.
