    SEE ALSO...

Tastin Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Tastin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Tastin antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tastin protein, also known as trophinin associated protein (TROAP), plays a critical role in maintaining centrosome integrity and ensuring proper bipolar organization of the mitotic spindle during cell division. Tastin (TROAP) is predominantly expressed in tissues such as bone marrow, testis, and thymus, where Tastin (TROAP) localizes to the cytoplasm and associates with microtubules, the mitotic spindle, and centrosomes. Notably, Tastin expression peaks during the G2/M phase of the cell cycle and diminishes post-division, highlighting Tastin′s importance in cell proliferation. Cells that overexpress Tastin tend to form monopolar spindles, while those with depleted levels exhibit multipolar spindles, indicating Tastin′s essential function in spindle assembly. Furthermore, Tastin interacts directly with Dynein light chain (Dynein LC or Tctex-1) and γ Tubulin, reinforcing Tastin′s role in spindle dynamics. Additionally, Tastin forms complexes with Bystin and Trophinin, which are crucial for cell adhesion and embryo implantation, underscoring Tastin′s significance in developmental processes.
