    TAPP1 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TAPP1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAPP1 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tandem PH (pleckstrin homology) domain-containing protein 1 (TAPP1) serves as a crucial cytoplasmic adaptor protein that plays a significant role in cellular signaling pathways. TAPP1 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as skeletal muscle, spleen, lung, thymus, and placenta, where TAPP1 is involved in the regulation of actin-mediated membrane dynamics. Upon stimulation by growth factors and subsequent activation of phosphoinositol 3-kinase, TAPP1 is recruited to the plasma membrane, where TAPP1 accumulates in F-actin-rich membrane ruffles. This recruitment is facilitated by the specific interaction of TAPP1 C-terminal PH domain with phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate, highlighting the importance of lipid-protein interactions in cellular signaling. Additionally, TAPP1 localization is regulated by syntrophins, which are essential for maintaining proper actin organization and membrane ruffling. Notably, overexpression of TAPP1 without concurrent syntrophin overexpression can inhibit the formation of circular ruffles, indicating a delicate balance in the regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics. Furthermore, TAPP1 may also play a role in the activation of B and T cells, underscoring TAPP1′s importance in immune responses.
