TAMRA-Azide-PEG-Biotin is a biotin PEG linker that incorporates an azide moiety that enables click chemistry-mediated labeling of alkyne-labeled proteins. It is a used reagent for the development and affinity purification of alkyne-labeled molecules. Hydrophilic PEG spacers increase solubility in aqueous media and reduce spatial site resistance when bound to streptavidin antibiotin molecules.PEG linkers can be used for the development of antibody drug couplers. Biotin was able to enrich proteins efficiently. Finally, carboxytetramethylrhodamine (TAMRA) fluorophores remain attached to proteins after elution from the streptavidin antibiotin resin and are used for sensitive detection of labeled proteins.
