Talopram hydrochloride is a potent, selective inhibitor of the SLC6A2 (NET/noradrenalin transporter) (IC50 = 2.9 nM). Talopram exhibits selectivity for SLC6A2 against ST (SERT/5-HT transporters) and DAT (dopamine transporters). Talopram displays a similar structure but different pharmacological profile to citalopram (sc-201123).
