TALL-1 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects TALL-1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TALL-1, also known as BAFF, THANK, and BLyS, is a type II membrane protein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytokine family, and plays a pivotal role in immune regulation. TALL-1 is predominantly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, monocytes, and macrophages, where TALL-1 is essential for the modulation of infections, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and tissue homeostasis. Notably, TALL-1 acts as a potent B cell stimulatory factor, significantly influencing B cell proliferation and serving as a key mediator in B cell-associated autoimmune disorders. The structure of TALL-1 features a C-terminal extracellular domain with a β jelly roll topology, which is crucial for ligand trimerization. The interaction between the ligand and its receptor triggers oligomerization, leading to the initiation of downstream signaling pathways. This oligomerization process is vital as oligomerization forms the receptor binding site at the junction of adjacent subunits, resulting in a multivalent ligand that enhances the signaling capacity of TALL-1, thereby amplifying TALL-1′s biological effects in the immune response.
