TALL-1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects TALL-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TALL-1, also known as BAFF, THANK, and BLyS, is a type II membrane protein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytokine family, and plays a pivotal role in immune regulation. TALL-1 is predominantly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, monocytes, and macrophages, where TALL-1 is essential for modulating infections, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and tissue homeostasis. TALL-1 functions as a potent B cell stimulatory factor, significantly influencing B cell proliferation and serving as a key mediator in B cell-associated autoimmune disorders. TALL-1′s structure features a C-terminal extracellular domain with a jelly roll topography, which is crucial for ligand trimerization. The interaction between TALL-1 and its receptor triggers oligomerization, leading to the initiation of downstream signaling pathways. This oligomerization process is vital as TALL-1 forms the receptor binding site at the junction of adjacent subunits, resulting in a multivalent ligand that enhances signaling capacity, thereby amplifying biological effects in the immune response.
