TALL-1 Antibody (6F2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects the TALL-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TALL-1 Antibody (6F2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including phycoerythrin (PE) and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). TALL-1, also known as B-cell activating factor (BAFF), is a type II membrane protein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytokine family, and plays a crucial role in the immune system. TALL-1 is predominantly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, monocytes, and macrophages, where TALL-1 is essential for regulating immune responses, including infections, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. Notably, TALL-1 is a potent B cell stimulatory factor that promotes B cell proliferation and survival, making TALL-1 a key player in B cell-associated autoimmune disorders. TALL-1′s structure features a C-terminal extracellular domain with a jelly roll topology, which is vital for ligand trimerization. This structural characteristic facilitates the binding of TALL-1 to its receptors, leading to oligomerization and the initiation of downstream signaling pathways that are critical for immune function. Understanding TALL-1′s role in these processes is important for developing therapeutic strategies targeting autoimmune diseases and enhancing immune responses.

How can TALL-1 (6F2): sc-32773 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-32773 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-32773 FITC).
