TAG-72 Antibody (CC49) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TAG-72 protein across multiple species through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TAG-72 (CC49) antibody is available in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes. Tumor-associated glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72) is a high molecular weight glycoprotein found in cytoplasm and cell membranes of malignant cells, serving as a crucial cancer diagnostic marker. TAG-72 shows high expression in 80% of colorectal carcinomas but rarely appears in normal epithelial tissues and benign conditions, making TAG-72 valuable for therapeutic targeting. TAG-72 expression is significant in low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinomas and various gynecologic malignancies, including epithelial ovarian and endometrial carcinomas. In human prostatic adenocarcinomas, TAG-72 expression negatively correlates with Gleason grade differentiation, indicating involvement in tumor progression. TAG-72 presence in gastric, esophageal, pancreatic, and non-small cell lung carcinomas demonstrates broad significance across multiple cancer types. TAG-72′s role in purifying primary ovarian cancer cells from patient ascites further proves valuable for research and clinical applications.
