    SEE ALSO...

TAF II p170 Antibody (BTA3D61) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TAF II p170 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TAF II p170 Antibody (BTA3D61) is available as a non-conjugated anti-TAF II p170 antibody (BTA3D61). TAF II p170 protein plays a crucial role in the formation of the transcription factor complex TFIID, which is essential for the initiation of gene transcription. TFIID is a multisubunit complex that not only binds to the TATA box of promoters but also interacts with various transcriptional activators, thereby facilitating the assembly of the preinitiation complex. TAF II p170 within this complex is particularly important as TAF II p170 contributes to the stability and functionality of TFIID, allowing for both basal and regulated transcription. Additionally, TAF II p170 has been shown to possess significant (d)ATPase activity, which is vital for the energy-dependent processes involved in transcription initiation. Anti-TAF II p170 antibody (BTA3D61) enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of transcription regulation and the role of TAFs in gene expression across different species.
