SYT Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SYT protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SYT antibody (D-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SYT protein, known as synovial translocation protein, plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coactivator, containing a conserved amino terminal SNH domain and a carboxy terminal QPGY domain that functions as a transcriptional activating sequence. SYT protein is particularly significant in synovial sarcomas, where the t(x;18) translocation leads to the fusion of SYT with SSX proteins, resulting in the production of potent transcriptional activators. The presence of SYT-SSX chimeras is a hallmark of most synovial sarcomas, which account for up to 10% of soft tissue sarcomas and can be classified into biphasic or monophasic subtypes based on the specific fusion partner involved. Genetic analysis reveals that biphasic synovial sarcomas typically harbor SYT-SSX1 fusions, while monophasic forms are associated with SYT-SSX2 fusions, providing valuable insights for diagnosis and potential therapeutic targeting.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390615 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
