    SEE ALSO...

Syncollin Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects syncollin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-syncollin antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syncollin (SYCN), also referred to as SYL or insulin synthesis-associated protein 1, is a 134 amino acid protein predominantly expressed in pancreatic acinar cells, where SYCN localizes to secretory vesicle membranes and peripheral membrane lumenal sides. Such localization is crucial as SYCN plays a significant role in exocytosis, influencing zymogen maturation and concentration within zymogen granules, which are essential for proper digestive enzyme secretion. SYCN genes reside on human chromosome 19, a region known for high gene density, housing approximately 1,400 genes, including several immunoglobulin superfamily members vital for immune response and cell signaling.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with syncollin (A-7): sc-376810 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
