Datasheets
  • Syncoilin Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ Syncoilin antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 309-327 within an internal region of Syncoilin of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Syncoilin of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Syncoilin Antibody (C-3) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Syncoilin Antibody (C-3) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

Syncoilin Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects Syncoilin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Syncoilin antibody (C-3) is available as the non-conjugated form. Syncoilin (SYNC) is a 483 amino acid protein that belongs to the intermediate filament family and plays a crucial role in muscle integrity and function. SYNC is primarily localized to the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm, where SYNC interacts with key proteins such as α-Dystrobrevin and Desmin. This interaction is vital as Syncoilin serves to link the dystrophin-associated protein complex (DAPC) to desmin filaments, thereby providing structural support in cardiac and skeletal muscle tissues. SYNC is particularly significant in neuromuscular diseases, as SYNC is upregulated at the sarcolemma in affected individuals, indicating a potential role in muscle pathology. The gene encoding Syncoilin is located on human chromosome 1, which is the largest chromosome in the human genome, encompassing approximately 260 million base pairs and containing around 3,000 genes. This chromosome is associated with a wide range of diseases, highlighting the importance of studying proteins like Syncoilin in understanding muscle-related disorders and developing targeted therapies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515474 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
