    SEE ALSO...

Swiprosin-2 Antibody (S-33) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Swiprosin-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Swiprosin-2 antibody (S-33) is available as a non-conjugated format. Swiprosin-2, also known as EFHD1 (EF-hand domain-containing protein D1), SWS2, PP3051, or MST133, is a 239 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of two EF-hand domains, which are critical for calcium ion binding. These EF-hand domains form a stable four-helix bundle structure that facilitates the binding of calcium ions, a process essential for various cellular functions, including signal transduction and muscle contraction. Swiprosin-2′s ability to bind calcium suggests a potential role as a calcium sensor, particularly in neuronal differentiation, where expression is upregulated, indicating importance in brain development and maturation. This makes Swiprosin-2 a significant protein for studying neurobiology and related disorders.
