    SEE ALSO...

Suppressin Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Suppressin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Suppressin antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Suppressin, also known as DEAF1 (deformed epidermal autoregulatory factor 1), SPN, NUDR (nuclear DEAF-1-related transcriptional regulator), or ZMYND5 (zinc finger MYND domain-containing protein 5), is a crucial transcription factor involved in embryonic development, playing a significant role in mediating cell fate and embryonic pattern formation. Suppressin is primarily localized in the nucleus, where Suppressin interacts with other proteins such as LMO4 and CLIM-2, highlighting Suppressin′s importance in transcriptional regulation. Suppressin contains a SAND domain and a C-terminal MYND-type zinc finger, which are essential for function and interactions. Several isoforms of Suppressin exist due to alternative splicing, and in certain cell types, Suppressin can be secreted to inhibit cell proliferation by arresting cells in the G0 or G1 phase. Mutations in the gene encoding Suppressin may confer a growth advantage, potentially leading to the development and progression of neoplasia, making Suppressin a promising target for cancer therapy.

Hi, I am interested to know is it a full length protein detected by anti-Deaf1 antibody or of a specific isoform ? transcript variant ? Thanks!

    Asked by: Nato
Thank you for your question. This antibody is only specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 71-93 within an internal region of Suppressin of human origin and can only detect isoforms that possess this amino acid range.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514180 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
