Sulconazole nitrate salt is an antimicrobial agent with a wide-ranging effectiveness that impedes the growth of fungi by interfering with the production of ergosterol, a vital constituent of fungal cell membranes. Additionally, Sulconazole nitrate salt has demonstrated the ability to inhibit the proliferation of bacteria and other microorganisms by hindering fatty acid synthesis. Its mode of action involves binding to fatty acids in the plasma membrane, thereby impeding their integration into the phospholipid bilayer. Consequently, this disruption diminishes cell membrane fluidity, resulting in compromised structural integrity and increased cell permeability.
