SEE ALSO...

STRO-1 Antibody (STRO-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects STRO-1 by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-STRO-1 antibody (STRO-1) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). STRO-1 plays a crucial role as a surface marker for mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which are pivotal in regenerative medicine due to their ability to differentiate into various cell types, including adipocytes, osteoblasts, and chondrocytes. The identification and isolation of STRO-1+ MSCs from human tissues, such as bone marrow and dental pulp, are essential for advancing cell-based therapies aimed at treating a range of human diseases. Notably, STRO-1+ enriched subset of marrow cells can support hematopoiesis and exhibit a vascular smooth muscle-like phenotype, highlighting their potential in tissue engineering and regenerative applications. The ability to enrich fibroblast colony-forming cells (CFU-F) approximately 100-fold in a STRO-1+/Glycophorin A- population compared to the STRO-1+/Glycophorin A+ population underscores STRO-1′s importance in stem cell research and therapeutic development.

I have bought the sc-47733 PCPC5. What is the recommended initial concentration of this antibody for use in flow cytometry?

Asked by: Rafaalves
Thank you for your question. We recommend adding 1 µg of fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies per 1 million cells. You can find our standard protocol for flow cytometry under this link: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry

if I use STRO-1 Antibody (STRO-1) sc-47733 (no flurecense conjugated) for flow cytometry, which isotype is suitable? Thank you.

Asked by: YYFF
Thank you for your question. Here is the non-conjugated normal mouse IgM isotype control: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/normal-mouse-igm?requestFrom=search

I have bought the STRO-1 SC-47733 FITC antibody, my question is, is it possible to compare FCM of this antibody with IgM-PE: sc-2870? Because FITC and PE is totally differ.

Asked by: pratama
Thank you for your question. If you are using the FITC conjugated version of this primary antibody (sc-47733 FITC), then you would want to select the corresponding isotype control that is also conjugated to FITC. In this case, normal mouse IgM-FITC: sc-2859 (https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/normal-mouse-igm-fitc). This product can be found in the list of "Support Products" for "FCM" on the primary antibody product page on our website (https://www.scbt.com/scbt/pdp/supportProducts.jsp?productId=47733&productType=FCM).

What sequence is this antibody raised against?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. This antibody was raised against human CD34+ bone marrow cells, not a synthetic sequence.
