    Streptococcus Group A Antibody (5E439) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects the Streptococcus Group A protein of Streptococcus origin by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Streptococcus Group A antibody (5E439) is available as the non-conjugated format. Streptococcus bacterium is classified into over 20 serologic groups based on variations in group-specific polysaccharides found in the bacterial cell wall, with Group A (GAS) being particularly significant due to its role in a wide spectrum of diseases. This Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, and non-motile organism typically appears as pairs or short chains and is responsible for the majority of streptococcal infections, which can range from mild conditions like pharyngitis to severe, life-threatening diseases such as necrotizing fasciitis and toxic shock syndrome. Streptococcus Group A′s ability to colonize mucosal surfaces in the mouth, nose, and pharynx is crucial for pathogenicity, as this facilitates entry into the host and subsequent infection. Additionally, Streptococcus Group A′s interaction with host immune responses can lead to complications, including rheumatic fever and post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, making early detection and treatment essential. Effective management often involves using antibiotics such as penicillin, erythromycin, and clindamycin, underscoring Streptococcus Group A antibody (5E439)′s importance in clinical diagnostics and research.
