The STn epitope is a peptide sequence that is consistently present in the C-terminus of the glycoprotein STn. STn belongs to the serpin family of proteins and is a significant regulator within the immune system. The epitope of STn holds great significance in cell-mediated immunity and the inflammatory response, playing a role in these processes. STn Epitope may be effective as cancer specific targets for immunotherapy as well as in the development of diagnostic monoclonal antibodies. It appear as clusters of repeating units of glycopeptides.
