Stat6 Antibody (AS6-45.13.9) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Stat6 in human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. Stat6 plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are key cytokines involved in the immune response and regulation of allergic reactions. Upon activation by these cytokines, Stat6 undergoes phosphorylation, leading to its dimerization and subsequent translocation to the nucleus, where Stat6 regulates the expression of genes associated with Th2 cell differentiation and IgE class switching. This function is particularly important in the context of asthma and other allergic diseases, as dysregulation of Stat6 signaling can contribute to the pathogenesis of these conditions.
