Stat6 Antibody (AS6-10.1.1) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Stat6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Stat6 plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are key cytokines involved in immune responses and inflammation. Upon activation by these cytokines, Stat6 undergoes phosphorylation, leading to dimerization and subsequent translocation to the nucleus, where Stat6 regulates the expression of genes associated with Th2 cell differentiation and allergic responses. The importance of Stat6 in the immune system is underscored by involvement in various pathological conditions, including asthma and other allergic diseases, making Stat6 a significant target for therapeutic interventions.
