SSBP1 Antibody (4C1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SSBP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SSBP1 antibody (4C1) is available as a non-conjugated format. SSBP1 protein plays a crucial role in mitochondrial DNA replication, functioning as a homotetramer that binds preferentially and cooperatively to single-stranded DNA. Such binding is essential for maintaining the integrity and stability of mitochondrial DNA, which is vital for proper mitochondrial function and energy production in cells. SSBP1 localization to mitochondria underscores SSBP1′s importance in cellular metabolism and regulation of gene expression within these organelles.
