SEE ALSO...

SRP68 Antibody (4-YD13) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SRP68 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SRP68 antibody (4-YD13) is available as the non-conjugated format. The signal recognition particle (SRP) plays a crucial role in the cellular process of targeting and translocating proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), which is essential for the proper processing of membrane and secreted proteins. SRP is a ribonucleoprotein complex composed of a unique Alu domain and an S domain that includes six proteins, among which SRP68 is a key component. SRP68 interacts with SRP RNA, enhancing the binding of SRP72, and is involved in the assembly of the SRP complex. SRP68 localization in both the nucleolus and cytoplasm highlights a dual role in the assembly of ribonucleoproteins and in the cytoplasmic processes of protein synthesis. SRP68 accumulates in the ER, indicating importance in the final stages of protein maturation and transport. Understanding SRP68 function and interactions is vital for elucidating the mechanisms of protein targeting and translocation, which are fundamental to cellular function and homeostasis.

I am using SRP68 (4-YD13): sc-135569 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
