    SEE ALSO...

SR-1E Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SR-1E protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SR-1E (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SR-1E protein, also known as 5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptor 1E, is a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor family, which plays a crucial role in mediating cellular responses to serotonin, a key neurotransmitter involved in regulating mood, anxiety, and various physiological processes. SR-1E receptor is primarily located in the central nervous system and is involved in inhibitory signaling pathways that modulate neurotransmission. SR-1E receptor′s ability to inhibit adenylyl cyclase activity is significant, as this helps maintain the balance of excitatory and inhibitory signals in the brain, which is essential for proper neuronal function and overall mental health. SR-1E receptor is one of several subtypes within the serotonin receptor family, which includes SR-1A, -1B, -1D, -1E, and -1F, each contributing to the complex signaling mechanisms that underlie various physiological and pathological conditions.

What blocking solution should I use with SR-1E (D-9): sc-390170 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
