Spiroxamine is a compound from the spiroketalamines class and is utilized as a broad-spectrum fungicide, primarily for cereals and grapes. This glycol ether-based pesticide offers protection against powdery mildew, with selective, protective, curative and eradicative properties. Spiroxamine disrupts the formation of essential proteins and nucleic acids in cells. When combined with tebuconazole and prothioconazole, it demonstrates synergistic effects against certain fungal strains. Additionally, spiroxamine is used analytically, aiding in quantifying protein levels in cell samples using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
