Spermine NONOate is a diazenium diolate NO donor compound derived from the polyamine spermine. Spermine NONOate is described to release NO with a half-life of 230 minutes at 22 degC and 39 minutes at 37 degC. Upon dissociation, Spermine NONOate releases two moles of NO for each mole of the parent compound.
