Sp-8-Br-cGMPS is a cell-permeable, unspecific activator of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) and cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG) 1 . It has been shown to be resistant to cyclic nucleotide phophodiesterases. It is found to be more membrane permeant and lipophilic compare to cyclic GMP.
