    SEE ALSO...

Sos 1 Antibody (25) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Sos 1 in mouse, rat, human, and canine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Sos 1 plays a crucial role as a guanine nucleotide-releasing factor, facilitating the activation of Ras proteins, which are pivotal in regulating various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and survival. The interaction between Sos 1 and Ras is essential for the transmission of signals from cell surface receptors to downstream effectors, thereby influencing critical pathways such as the MAP kinase signaling cascade. This pathway is vital for cellular responses to growth factors and other stimuli, making Sos 1 a key player in cellular signaling networks. Furthermore, Sos 1′s ability to interact with other proteins, such as the adapter protein GRB2, enhances its role in mediating signal transduction, underscoring its importance in both normal physiology and disease states, including cancer. Anti-Sos 1 antibody (25) is an invaluable tool for researchers aiming to explore the dynamics of Ras signaling and its implications in various biological contexts.

I am using Sos 1 (25): sc-136235 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
