Sodium ferulate (NaFe) is an organic compound derived from ferulic acid. It has been found to interact with various cellular components, including DNA, lipids, proteins, and receptors. It can affect the expression of genes involved in cell growth and differentiation, as well as the production of cytokines. It has also been reported to have an effect on the metabolism of lipids, proteins, and carbohydrates. Sodium ferulate has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antimicrobial activities.
