QUICK LINKS

Sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate (SDDC) is used as a catalytic reagent in organic synthesis and as a stabilizer in rubber. For example, it has been used to synthesize N-substituted imidazoles, N-substituted oxazoles, and N-substituted thiazoles, as well as various heterocyclic compounds, such as indoles, quinolines, and pyrroles. Sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate is relatively non-toxic and non-irritating. It is also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
