SOD-3 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SOD-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SOD-3 antibody (G-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SOD-3, also known as extracellular superoxide dismutase, plays a crucial role in protecting tissues from oxidative stress by catalyzing the dismutation of superoxide radicals into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen, thereby mitigating cellular damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS). SOD-3 is predominantly located in extracellular fluids such as lymph, plasma, and synovial fluid, which is significant because SOD-3 can exert protective effects in the extracellular environment, where SOD-3 can neutralize harmful radicals that may otherwise contribute to various degenerative diseases, including Alzheimer′s and cardiovascular disorders.
