SNX29 Antibody (4B12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SNX29 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNX29, also known as RUNDC2A, is an 813 amino acid protein characterized by one PX (phox homology) domain and one RUN domain, which play crucial roles in cellular processes such as membrane trafficking and endosomal sorting. SNX29 functions in regulating intracellular transport mechanisms, essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental changes. Dysregulation of these processes can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. SNX29 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, and SNX29 gene is located on human chromosome 16p. This chromosome harbors over 900 genes and is implicated in several genetic disorders, including giant axonal neuropathy and Crohn′s disease. The identification of SNX29 and SNX29 interactions within the sorting nexin family highlights potential as a biomarker for studying these conditions and understanding the underlying mechanisms of related pathologies.
