Smoothelin Antibody (2Q1120) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects smoothelin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Smoothelin is a crucial cytoskeletal protein that plays a significant role in the contractile function of smooth muscle cells, which are essential for various physiological processes, including blood vessel contraction and gastrointestinal motility. Smoothelin (2Q1120) antibody primarily localizes within the filament network of contractile smooth muscle cells, where smoothelin associates with actin stress fibers, contributing to the structural integrity and contractility of these cells.
