    SEE ALSO...

SMIM13 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SMIM13 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SMIM13 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SMIM13, consisting of 91 amino acids, is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 6p24, which is notable for involvement in various genetic disorders and diseases. SMIM13 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, including regulation of erythropoiesis and maintenance of red blood cell integrity, making SMIM13 significant in understanding conditions related to anemia and other hematological disorders. Additionally, chromosome 6, which houses SMIM13, is implicated in several diseases, including early onset intestinal cancer and various genetic syndromes, highlighting the importance of studying SMIM13 in the context of human health. Deletion of specific regions on chromosome 6 has been linked to cancer susceptibility, while mutations in associated genes can lead to conditions such as porphyria cutanea tarda and Stickler syndrome. Using anti-SMIM13 antibody (E-6) in research can provide valuable insights into functional implications of SMIM13 and potential role in disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398401 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
